After UCU members voted by 70% to 30% to reject the employers’ offer of 1% on all pay points, the union has asked the employers for further talks to resolve the dispute and the Higher Education Committee has approved the move to a ballot should such talks fail to result in an acceptable offer.

NATIONAL USS DISPUTE – NOTICE OF RESUMPTION OF INDUSTRIAL ACTION
At the UCU National Congress on 8th June, the Higher Education Sector Conference considered a report from the pensions negotiators. Further to the decision of that conference, we have informed the employers that our action short of a strike will resume on Monday 18 June.
