Week 5 events
Edinburgh Rally – Monday 26 February, 12 noon, Bristo Square
The Edinburgh rally will be followed by food and an organising meeting in Augustine’s church on George IV Bridge. UCU Scotland is supporting transport to the rally in Edinburgh on Monday: mileage and parking at their standard rates for people who drive; train or bus fares where tickets/receipts are provided. Colleagues able to drive and offer car-share places should assemble at the Petheram Bridge car park directly after picketing on Monday at 10.30.
Committee, school/unit contacts’ and picket organisers’ meeting – Tuesday 27 Feb, 11am, Sandy’s Bar, Students’ Association
Please come along to Sandy’s Bar after picketing on Tuesday morning to feedback on experiences so far and to help co-ordinate the coming stages of the action.
St Andrews Rally – Weds 28 February, 12 noon, Church Square
All members are asked to assemble in Church Square on Weds at noon to celebrate the first week of the action. We will be joined by student groups.
Alternative University of St Andrews
The programme for the Alternative University of St Andrews continues on Monday 26 February at 12 in All Saints’ Church small hall, North Castle Street. Kate Cross will lead a session on the politics of bad science, followed by Laurence Lasselle on advising a policy-maker when a crisis begins. The full programme is attached.
