Gearing up for a day of action on 3rd December
As you will all know we have a second day’s strike action next Tuesday 3rd December in support of a fair pay settlement. We hope and expect to make this even more successful than the well-supported strike day earlier this month, and have arranged a number of local meetings for later this week to build support for it and discuss the issues.
These will be informal meetings where you can drop in at any time and stay as long as you like. As well as discussing the action it will be an opportunity to collect leaflets and posters for doors and noticeboards to advertise the strike. We have had a number of new members joining as a result of the action we’re taking so please bring your colleagues along if possible, including non-members.
You are very welcome to attend any of the meetings, but we have also given an indication of which Departments or Units each is particularly aimed at so you can discuss the action with members from your own area. If your workplace isn’t indicated, or you can’t make your local meeting, just go to any of the others that is convenient for you.
