The University and College Union at The University of St Andrews

Annual General Meeting – 1 May!

The UCU St Andrews Annual General Meeting will take place in UCO School 1 Lecture Theatre on Wednesday 1 May. There will be a full report on branch activity over the year and the annual accounts will be presented.  Members will be asked to:

a) Elect committee members (and stand for a place on committee if they wish!)

b) Approve next year’s subscription contributions

c) Direct our Congress delegate on how to vote at the national UCU conference at the end of the month

Once formal business has been concluded (this should take less than half an hour) we will open the meeting to all staff and students for a talk on the Bedroom Tax.  We are fortunate to have Jack Ferguson booked to come and talk to the meeting.  Jack is a former St Andrews student and is now UNITE Community Organiser for Scotland.  He is centrally involved in the campaign against the bedroom tax and his talk promises to be interesting and engaging. There will be an opportunity for some Q&A at the end of the talk.
