“Introduction to Casework” – a free event open to ALL members

WE ARE HOLDING AN INTRODUCTION TO CASEWORK MEETING ON WEDNESDAY 17 OCTOBER.  ALL MEMBERS ARE WELCOME – WHETHER YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE SUPPORT YOU CAN ACCESS, HOW CASEWORKERS CAN SUPPORT MEMBERS IN NEED, OR IF YOU WANT TO CONSIDER TRAINING AS A CASEWORKER.

Individual members are supported by UCU St Andrews caseworkers when they have an issue at work that they are uncomfortable dealing with on their own. Over the past year UCU St Andrews has supported over a significant number of individual members in a variety of ways including:

  • Bullying
  • Disciplinary hearings
  • Avoidance of Redundancy issues
  • Redundancy meetings
  • Stress due to workload, culture and other work-related issues

Group issues

UCU St Andrews also offers support to specific membership groupings with concerns, for example helping members in departments threatened with closure or reorganisation, or dealing with equality issues with regard to pay or promotion.
