Slicing up the Pensions Cake

Members of the University and College Union (UCU) at St Andrews University share out a “pensions cake” to symbolise the different pensions new members of staff, and those who take career breaks, will receive following changes imposed to the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) at the start of October.

We had an excellent response from passers-by, including prospective students and their families, as we handed out cakes and explained what our dispute is about.

The Student Representative Council also donated a cake as a gesture of support following their recent motion in support of our action.
